Biography

Baker has been assigned to SG-9, led by Captain Jonas Hanson. SG-9 were sent to an inhabited planet for more than five weeks (SG1: "The First Commandment").

Character's evolution

"The First Commandment" (1997)

After chasing Connor and Frakes, Baker pours gasoline on Frakes' body and burns it, after Captain Jonas Hanson killed him at blank point. The next day, Baker reports to Hanson that he was right; Stargate Command has sent SG-1.

One day after, Hanson orders Baker to split the inhabitants in two work teams to hurry the construction of his temple. Baker is reluctant, seeing who hard they work for him, yet execute it.

When a cave-dweller collapses under the heavy load, Baker comes to strike him with his riffle, despite the begging of a fellow indigenous. Eventually, Baker is punched by Captain Samantha Carter who surrenders right after. He brings Carter to Hanson in the cave.

When Colonel Jack O'Neill tries to free Connor, both of them are under arrest by Baker who brings them at once to Hanson, but he first slap O'Neill and remove his weapons. To urge Carter to put back the anti solar radiation shield on line, Hanson orders Baker to shoot O'Neill, but stops when Carter complies.

Notes

  • Baker is considered as deceased as he has been shot by Jamala who was using Teal'c's staff weapon. He doesn't move after been shot, and he is not part of the return trip with SG-1 and Lieutenant Connor (SG-1: "The First Commandment").
  • Baker doesn't carry any military dog-tag (unlike Jonas Hanson). So it is uncertain that he is a military. Yet it is possible that he removed them (before Hanson did it as well).
