Stargate Origins is a new 10 episodes web series produced by MGM and New Form scheduled to air at the end of 2017.

Plot

Stargate Origins should explore a new part of Catherine Langford's life related to the discovery of the Stargate. According to the San Diego Comic-Con International's official announcement, "Young Catherine embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save Earth from unimaginable darkness."

Production

During the San Diego Comic-Con International on July 20, 2017, MGM announced officialy the launch of the production of Stargate Origins as a new ten episodes digital series, directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan and written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry. The shooting should start on August 2017, the production and the developpment of the series are made by New Form.

• 07/20/2017 — NEW! First official Stargate Origins teaser released on the Stargate Command official YouTube channel. The teaser shows archive footages of Stargate showing young Catherine Langford and the erection of the Stargate and ends on a digital image representing a young woman kinda "Lara Croft"-dressed in front of an active Stargate.
• 07/20/2017 — NEW! MGM announces the launch of the production of Stargate Origins at the San Diego Comic-Con International.
