- "[ Sha're ] practically fell on the floor laughing every time I tried to do some chore that they all took for granted. Like um, grinding yaphetta flour."
- —Daniel Jackson to Jack O'Neill (SG1: "Children of the Gods")
Yaphetta flour is a food substance grinded and used by Abydonians.
After their return from Abydos, Jack O'Neill brings Daniel Jackson in his home in the hope to change his mind. There, they talk about Jackson's life on Abydos. He tells O'Neill that if Sha're wasn't here, he might have lost his mind and, giving the example of yaphetta flour, tells that she laughed every time Jackson was trying to do a common task. He asks O'Neill if he has ever ground his own flour. Sarcastically, O'Neill replies that he's "trying to kick the flour thing."
