Beer is an alcoholic beverage manufactured by the Tau'ri. This beverage is quite popular among people of Earth.

Overview

The effects of alcohol contained in a beer can be more sensitive depending of the person who drinks. For example, Daniel Jackson is very sensitive and just one beer can change his behaviour (SG1: "Children of the Gods").

History

"Children of the Gods" (1997)

After their return from Abydos, Jack O'Neill brings Daniel Jackson in his home in the hope to change his mind. There, if brings a second cold beer to Jackson and the two resume their conversation. Soon after, Jackson, having just taken a mouthful of beer, states that this thing "is going straight to [his] head". O'Neill says that Jackson has had only one beer and that he is "a cheaper date than [his] wife was".

"Fire and Water"

As all Stargate Command personnel is waking the death of Daniel Jackson in Jack O'Neill's house, the latter offers beer to Teal'c and Captain Samantha Carter. Carter agrees. When O'Neill pours beer in a glass, he sees bubbles elsewhere, and forgets to stop pouring when the glass is full and the beer overflows.
