Michael and his Wraith faction arrive at Atlantis to propose an alliance, hoping to use the retrovirus to transform their Wraith enemies into prey.

"Allies" is the 20th episode of Stargate Atlantis Season 2. It is also the season's finale ending up on a cliffhanger.

This episode is part 1 of 3. It is followed by "No Man's Land" and "Misbegotten".

Connor Trinneer was unable to reprise his role of Michael Kenmore. Brent Stait replaced him but was re-dubbed by Trinneer.
Brent Stait has previously played the character of Major Ferretti in earlier Stargate SG-1 episodes.
Andee Frizzell has already played four Hive Queens in Stargate Atlantis. She will play three more ones in the last seasons of SGA.
