Yet I think it's better to change the name of the articles from "Soldier" to "Marine". My point is this: Weir asked Sumner to assemble a team. Sumner is a marine and must know and trust the people he's working with. Bates is a marine, Ford is also a marine, so should be the other ones. The only extra member of the team is [[John Sheppard]], Air Force member, chosen by Weir.<br/>Other point, the first two marines came back with the Athosians on Atlantis. The two last ones were captured with Sumner and Bates inside the hive ship.
