Roland Emmerich (German: [ˈʁoːlant ˈɛməʁɪç]) (born November 10, 1955) is a German film director, screenwriter, and producer. He has wrote (with Dean Devlin) and directed the 1994 featured film Stargate. MGM and Warner Bros are planning to produce a reboot of Stargate with Emmerich as director and writer, and with Devlin as co-writer and producer.[1]
