Dr. Robert Caine was a member of the civilian crew of the Icarus base. In 2009, he had to evacuate the base when it was attacked by Lucian Alliance's forces and retrieved himself stranded aboard Ancient vessel Destiny along with 80+ people. He and a small group of people settled on a newly created planet they called "Eden". There, he freezed to death in 2010. His body has been revived soon after and put in a restored Ancient shuttle back to Destiny. Yet his body relived the same death.
