Soren was a religious fundamentalist leader who used SG-1's arrival on his home planet Tegalus as a pretext to make a coup d'etat. He eventually has been executed by Jared Kane for treason soon after Stargate Command and Loyalist forces combined efforts to take back the Rand Protectorate bunker and retrieve Daniel Jackson.
