Greer didn't hesitate to lock him up in a closet for punishment, to throw down a wall of bricks he erected, or to abandon him during the night in an ill-famed street with no money for getting back home. Later, near the Stargate, an hallucination of his father appears at the corner of a fire, telling Ronald Greer that he shouldn't save him from the house fire.
