This is the debut of two reccuring characters in the series: Colonel Abraham Ellis (played by Michael Beach) and Dr. Jennifer Keller (played by Jewel Staite).
Jewel Staite had already played the character of Ellia, a Wraith female in the Atlantis Season 2 episode "Instinct".
