Soren was a religious fundamentalist leader who used SG-1's arrival on his home planet Tegalus as a pretext to make a coup d'etat. He eventually surrended himself after the Tau'ri intervention to retrieve Daniel Jackson, yet he has been executed soon after by Jared Kane for treason.
