Carter is possessed by a Goa'uld who claims to be an enemy of the System Lords. The Goa'uld, Jolinar of Malkshur, is being hunted by an assassin.

"In the Line of Duty" is the 2nd episode of Stargate SG-1 Season 2.

Summary

A peaceful planet is attacked by the Goa'uld with no apparent reason.
As she's giving first aid to a fallen Nasyan, Carter is grapped by him and something comes into her mouth.
Carter's behaviour becomes suspicious among SG-1's members.
