Character's evolution
"Life" (2009)
Lisa Park and Rivers are making love in Park's quarters. Later, when Park come inside the mess, Rivers greets her with a big smile, yet she returns the greeting coldly, making him huffy.
Later again in the mess, Dr. Nicholas Rush explains to a small group of people including Rivers that he found a planet with a naquadria core distant from a year of Destiny. Rivers hopes that they will leave this prison at last.
"Incursion", Part 2
When Commander Kiva think to have been almost ambushed during an exchange with Colonel Everett Young, she rushes angrily in the Stargate room to the group of hostages where Rivers is and coldly shoots him in the chest at blank point. She orders Tamara Johansen to tell Young what she has done. In the control room, Young tells the people here that Rivers is dead. Among them, Lisa Park is shocked when she hears the news. Nicholas Rush then minimizes Rivers' death and an angered Young rushes to him, only to be restrained by Dale Volker and Adam Brody. Meanwhile, men of Kiva's faction drag Rivers' body outside the gate room.
Later, during a new exchange of four Destiny's people for four Alliance's members led this time by Camile Wray, Rivers' body is brought as the fourth exchanged person.
Notes
- Despite the fact that Zak Santiago only appears from "Life", it is presumed that Rivers was part of the Destiny expedition before the evacuation of Icarus base.
Behind the scenes
- Zak Santiago, Rivers' portrayer, has already portrayed Rogelio Duran in the two-parter Stargate SG-1 episode "Evolution".
