The dark skinned woman [sic!], also called Yametha by Apophis is a female Jaffa who was the bearer of Apophis' queen, Amaunet.
Character's evolution
"Children of the Gods" (1997)
Yametha is carrying a Goa'uld symbiote who is fully mature. She's waiting Apophis' order in the Chulak palace implantation room. When Teal'c brings Senior Airman Weterings, Apophis orders her to come near Weterings' body layed on the altar. The symbiote, Amaunet starts to get out the symbiote pouch. When Apophis asks her if the potential host pleases her, the symbiote simply comes back inside the pouch. Disapointed, Apophis kills Weterings and orders Teal'c to send another one.
Later, when Sha're is in the room, Apophis seems really pleased. He pulls the curtain where Yametha is behind, and then she comes near the body like the other time. This time, Amaunet completely gets off the pouch and Yametha leaves, visibly weakened.
Notes
- This character doesn't have a line in the script.
- When Apophis calls her, we don't really know if "Yametha" is her name, or a qualificative. In the ending credits, she is credited as "Dark skinned woman" [sic!]. "Dark skinned woman" is retained as it is canon.
- The woman's fate is unknown after the lost of Amaunet. She supposely has received another Goa'uld symbiote to sustain her immune system.
Behind the scenes
- Even if she is credited as "Dark skinned woman", Monique Rusu is all but dark skinned. Yet, even if the actress has not acted a lot and has no civilian picture available on the internet, she is largely visible in the 1997 Disney movie Mr. Magoo. Rusu is portraying "Rosita", the bride, visible close to the end of the movie.
