Like the Charlie O'Neill from the main reality, he accidentally shot himself with O'Neill's sidearm (SG1: "There But For the Grace of God").

"There But For the Grace of God" (1997)
Daniel Jackson meets an alternate version of Jack O'Neill without knowing it. Brigadier General O'Neill states that he never saw Jackson, yet the latter tells him about his son's fate, which appears to be true as well.
