Biography
Moughal's wife is an exception among her tribe; she is the only wife of Moughal, chieftain of the Shavadai, when men are usually polygamist. Moughal admits that he's suffering from the "madness", meaning he really loves his wife. In a country where women are treated like a merchandise, it could be considered as a weakness, yet Doctor Daniel Jackson thinks that this is like an example (SG1: "Emancipation").
Character's evolution
"Emancipation" (1997)
When she hears that Abu has been found, Moughal's wife raises the curtain of her tent. When she sees Abu, she put her veil and goes to welcome him.
When Moughal welcomes SG-1 inside his tent, he remove his hat and gives it to his wife.
When Colonel Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson and Teal'c go with Moughal to retreive Captain Samantha Carter who has been abducted by Abu, Jackson notices that Moughal has only one wife, may be to set like an example and guesses that Moughal loves her. For an answer, Moughal slowly smiles to Jackson.
When SG-1 is ready to leave the planet, Moughal, his wife, Nya and Abu are standing before them, inviting them to join a seven day wedding ceremony. Then Moughal frees the Shavadai and all women, including his wife, remove their veil.
