Kleinhouse and his associates (including Dr. Cole) did archaeological research on special chambers in Mayan temples and repeatedly asked the Mexican government for permission to excavate inside the temples but without success. Finally, in 1997, they won their case, and with the government's agreement, they undertook excavations in a Mayan temple.
One day, he comes across a paper article written by a young archaeologist, Dr. Daniel Jackson about the connections between different mythologies, he learns that Jackson has become the laughing stock of the academy (SG1: "Hathor").
Character's evolution
"Hathor" (1997)
Kleinhouse, along with Dr. Cole and another member of his team, push through and gain access to a chamber inside a Mayan temple. Surprised, they discover what appears to be a burial chamber with an Egyptian sarcophagus. Kleinhouse refers to Dr. Daniel Jackson who theorized about a possible connections between ancient civilizations. Cole recognizes the symbol of the Egyptian goddess Hathor. Kleinhouse brushes off the sand and reveals a stone which he manipulates. The sarcophagus opens to reveal Hathor who asks where Ra is. Seeing that the archaeologists are not Goa'uld, she uses her hand device to neutralize the three people present. They die brutally.
