Previously
- The Stargate program is not state-funded anymore, and the Stargate will definitely shut down.
- SG-1 go rogue and dial the address found in the alternate reality (SG1: "There But For the Grace of God").
- They retrieve themselves stranded inside an attack vessel led by Klorel, the Goa'uld who took Skaara's body (SG1: "Children of the Gods").
- Colonel Jack O'Neill attempts to take Skaara's back but has to shoot him as he's threatening Daniel Jackson's life.
- But the Goa'uld mothership has already reached its destination: the Solar system and especially Earth.
