A kangaroo is a marsupial living on Earth.
Overview
The female kangaroo has a large ventral pouch used to carry its new bornbaby until full development. It can be (and has been) compared to the Jaffa's symbiote pouch (SG1: "Children of the Gods").
Detailled evolution
After Apophis' incursion inside the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, two Serpent guard's dead bodies were layed on tables inside the infirmary for examination. Dr. MacKenzie reports to Major General George Hammond that these creatures have slits on the abdomen and a pouch. Major Samuels compares it to the kangaroo's pouch.
